What is the Sleep-out?

The big sleepout is an annual event that is organised by the Bristol Homeless Forum as part of homeless awareness week.

This year will be the 11th year the Bristol Homeless Forum has organised the event and the 10th year being held at the Pip‘n’Jay church.

The purpose of the event is to help raise awareness of homelessness in Bristol and raise funds for the participating organisations. Last year the sleepout helped raise around £60,000 in total for the various organisations.

So far, this year there are seven organisations taking part in the sleepout.

These include;

The Big Issue, Crisis Centre Ministries, One25, Julian Trust, Caring in Bristol, Ebenezer Church and of course Help Bristol’s Homeless.
