As many of our supporters know, we recently announced with a heavy heart and deep sadness the sudden loss of a much respected, treasured friend, ambassador, and loved member of the HBH family.
Rob was interwoven into the fabric of Help Bristol’s Homeless – he was part of the furniture – being involved in so many aspects of all we have achieved since 2017. He was an ambassador, a mentor, an advocate. He attributed HBH with saving his life. Whilst he was with us he touched the hearts of so many, sharing his story, reaching others, and was a fierce proponent of HBH charity. He had a unique insight of the lived experience of being homeless and of turning a life around. Rob could cook. His Sunday roasts are legendary. His barbecues were fantastic. Everyone enjoyed his culinary skills, his banter, his no nonsense, get on with it approach.
His passing has come as a huge blow to us all.
We want to pay tribute to Rob. We are launching this fundraiser in his honour to create ‘Rob’s Place’ as his legacy.
Please check out our Crowdfunder here and support us if you can – any donation is much appreciated and will go towards funding a new container for the project, in memory of Rob.
Thank you
Rest In Peace – Robert Earnshaw – 17/01/1962 – 31/01/2021
