360winx project is now complete!

14 Nov 2018

Back in October 2017, First Bus kindly donated a double-decker bus for our team of volunteers to convert it into an overnight sleeper.

After just over a year and much hard work, we are pleased to announce that the 360winx project is now complete!

360winx has been fully insulated, has onboard heating and is fitted out to sleep seven men on the top deck and five women on a secure bottom deck. We have decorated 360winx to feel welcoming and homely. Service users also have access to a shower facility and kitchen.

There has been a massive amount of support for this project. Jasper said, “Many people have put in a huge amount of time and effort to get this project ready, and we’re looking forward to welcoming people to the bus.”

Although 360winx is now complete, the journey is only just beginning, and we want volunteers to step forward to help us maintain the shelter.

We are looking for dedicated individuals, with excellent communication skills, who can commit to regular evening slots to help with referrals and also daytime shifts to help maintain and clean the bus.

If you would like to get involved, please download and complete our Volunteer Registration Form and return it to us.
