Spring Street – a year on

New additions to Spring Street

Last week saw the delivery of two new containers to our Spring Street project. Thank you to Mobile Mini who were a huge help in delivering and installing the containers. Hargreaves Lansdown (HL) have funded and are sponsoring our new wellbeing unit (the yellow container in the images below). The wellbeing unit will be fitted with computers for our residents (and those in the wider homeless community) to use for online courses, job applications etc. As well as being a space for activities like yoga, and other classes. Our other new container (also pictured below) has been sponsored by Canada Life, and is an addition to our collection of micro-flats. Once fitted and furnished, it will provide a new home, and a new opportunity for someone currently homeless. Thanks again to our sponsors and those who have helped make this happen!

Honorary Doctor of Law – Jasper Thompson

Back in February, our founder Jasper was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Bristol, to mark his dedicated and innovative services to Bristol’s homeless community. At times like this it’s great to look back on what was such a proud day for Jasper, his family and the entire HBH team!
